About NGYL

Building athletes, friendships, and a lifelong love of the game — right here in our community.

Who we are

Norwell Girls Youth Lacrosse is a recreational program dedicated to introducing and developing the sport of lacrosse for girls in the Norwell community. We welcome players of all skill levels — from first-time players who have never picked up a stick to those looking to sharpen their game in a supportive, low-pressure environment. Our program is led by experienced coaches and parent volunteers who share a passion for youth development both on and off the field.

Our mission

To provide every girl in the Norwell lacrosse community with a welcoming, positive lacrosse experience that fosters personal growth, teamwork, and a love of sport — where fun always comes first and every player feels valued.

Our values

Inclusion

Every girl belongs here. We welcome all skill levels, backgrounds, and abilities with open arms.

Teamwork

We win and grow together. Players learn that what they accomplish as a team is greater than any individual effort.

Development

Progress matters more than perfection. We celebrate effort, improvement, and the courage to try something new.

Fun First

A love of the game is built through joy. We create an environment where kids genuinely look forward to every practice and game.

Sportswomanship

Win graciously, lose gracefully. We teach our players to compete with integrity and respect for opponents, officials, and teammates.

Community

We are proud to be a Norwell program, building lasting friendships and strengthening the fabric of our town.

Our program

We offer age-appropriate leagues for players from kindergarten through middle school, with seasons in the spring. Each age group receives skill-building instruction in a game that emphasizes creativity, athleticism, and team play. Our coaches are background-checked volunteers who are trained to create a safe, encouraging space where every girl can thrive. Whether your daughter is chasing her first goal or preparing to move up to a travel program, NGYL is where her lacrosse story begins.

Get involved

NGYL is entirely powered by the Norwell community. We are always looking for enthusiastic coaches, team managers, and parent volunteers to help make the season a success. If you are interested in registering your daughter or joining our volunteer team, we'd love to hear from you. Together, we make this program possible.
